I'm going to attempt to make these suspenders. Can you tell me how much silicone/liquid latex you needed for this project? I'm not sure how much to buy :/. Thanks so much!

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. Thank you. so creative and this will def. make my costume perfect. I'm sure it won't look as good as yours, but at least I have a better idea about the suspenders. xo

What you say is very true. A lot of my favourite cosplays arent the expensive detailed ones, but the ones where people put that extra bit into it. Confidence and character regularily makes the 1 weekend thrift store special look 10x better than the store-bought/commisioned works.

It takes alot of courage to cosplay. Wear your work with pride, no matter how poor you think it looks. If you arent going to work the costume and just stand there-why cosplay at all?

Hey! I just did a quick search and found it on Etsy for $10! Sounds like a steal to me! ;) I'm too lazy to scan more now, but I will definitely consider it if I am bored one afternoon, haha. Thank you for taking the time to ask, and I'm glad it was a good read for you! It is a FASCINATING resource, and worth picking up a copy if you find one!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing! Glad my awkwardness didn't go to waste, haha. I think you are a step ahead of me always staying in character! I'm horrible at playing baddies. I always want to smile and be nice and ruin it. Maybe I need to steal your technique....

This tutorial is brilliant. I've shared it on a group for our big British convention London Expo as quite often i've seen some fantastic costumes let down by the bad pose, or lack of.

As you said cosplay is about costume and play ( or performance) It's about becoming that character for the few seconds the photos are being taken.
Example. When i did Asajj Ventress from star wars and people asked me for a photo, i never smiled, i simply beckoned them over and did a suitable pose with them. When they said thanks (which i always appreciate) i would nod ( ala T'ealc from Sg1) to them as thanks. They always said to my non costuming friend how i was in character and it was more than just a person in costume and they liked that.

Of course playing someone so evil, you have to pull back on the evilness unless you want to be thrown out of an event!

Loving the new website btw!
