Eva is one of those shows. You love to love it, and love to hate it. I watched this show first when I was 15, and identified with the children. I watched it again at 24 and identified with the adults. It was almost like watching a different show; I don’t think many shows can have that amazing effect.

Inspiration
This project was undertaken as a challenge. I wanted to work with new materials and concentrated on accuracy.

Construction
The suits were broken down into 4 parts; undershirt, pants, bodysuit, and backpacks. Once we decided on this, my friend drafted and sewed the suits and gloves while I concentrated on backpacks, head nodes, and details like suit hard pieces and lettering. I made sure that the backpacks each had their distinctive shape, and are both fully functional and where we keep our stuff! We each styled our own wigs.

We chose to use heeled shoes instead of flats simply to make our legs look as long as possible. Dang, them Eva girls have long legs. o_O That’s the only deliberate alteration we made to the outfits, and I think that upsets some people. I think those people are so angry because they have foot fetishes that we have somehow violated by putting 3″ sticks on the bottom of our feet. Sorry!
