Doll :: Saga Frontier
Inspiration
Some individuals pretty much grabbed me at the collar and pointed at this character for me. I conceded. I will go on record as saying that I hated Saga Frontier. Oh yes, I bought this game when it was released. I didn’t like it. I tried to like it. I just like it when RPG’s force – or at least TELL – you where to go. At the time, Saga Frontier was groundbreaking in that you just kind of… meandered. You could do anything you wanted, and it drove me crazy. I like being bossed around and told what to do!!!! Maybe I should bust out my PlayStation and try it again? Lesson: sometimes you just cosplay things you are told. And it didn’t make it any less fun to dress up as, or any less fun to make. I had an awesome time!
Construction
The bodysuit is from a vintage Playgirl Bunny pattern. Therefore, it was abnormally large in the bust area. I didn’t have time for a mock-up pattern, and the costume suffers for it. It’s HUGE in the boobs. I didn’t engineer any pockets into this costume, but that was ok. I stuck my wallet, etc. into my bust. HEH. The pleather jacket is fully lined and hand studded. I took liberties with this obscure costume and embroidered my logo on the back. I gradient dyed the wig with FW ink in a spray bottle. I think this costume made me fall in love with the color purple.
