Inspiration
I wanted to do this costume because it was so darn cute. I like Mint because she ignores the drama around her and just drinks her “tea”. I think it’s laced with something extra, because I couldn’t put up with those hyper girls all the time. Mint is a dancer, and I also took ballet for many years. So posing for her character comes pretty naturally!

Construction
This was the first wig I sewed extensions into. It was a labored task; I hand-sewed them all up the back of the wig so I could part the hair for the buns. It took about 7 hours. I wish I could go back in time with the knowledge I have now, because it wouldn’t take nearly as long. I made this costume with a friend. We made our own trim (even the shoelaces!) so that it would match perfectly. I still think this costume is super cute and would love to wear it again.
