Songstress Yuna :: Final Fantasy X-2
Inspiration
Once upon a time, like many cosplayers, I had a vision of doing every FFX-2 dressphere costume. That all ended with the songstress. Cosplay dreams are born and die so fast. *sniff!* I only ended up with this costume to match a group. I personally am not a fan of it, and only wore it once. Um, that’s why there’s so few pictures of me wearing it.
Construction
I made the wig, earring, boots, and airbrushed the gradient on the shirt. For the boots, I made a bootcover pattern out of fake suede. I painted the suede with watered down acrylics. I used contact cement to glue them onto a shoe base. They were the first bootcovers I made, and I’m surprised they have withstood the test of time. For the wig, I wove 4 pieces of red sports webbing around a length of upholstry cording, and glued extensions on the end of it. The earring is half painted store-bought beads, and half sculpted out of paper clay.
